about

This one might be my favorite tune on the album. A few months ago, I was asked by my friend Mariah to do a few solo shows, and I wrote this for me and a loop pedal, since I figured it was a good chance to try something new. It took a while to revamp it for a full band, but I like the way it turned out. Basically, it started out as an Andrew Bird type idea, but by the time I was getting ready to bring it to the band, the question was "What would Amanda Palmer do?"

Plus, when we were mixing this song, everyone else had left, so it was just me and the producer, Greg Heimbecker. We spent a solid hour at least messing with reverb settings, and running reverb channels through a modulating reverb channel... Too much fun.
